Academic Affairs, Provost and Vice President for
The Vice President of Academic Affairs is broken down into nine series. They cover memos and correspondence, department publications, minutes from numberous department meetings, administration, newsletters, faculty information, budgets, grants and research and library files.
Academic Assistance & Resource Center (AARC)
This collection has materials that deal with administration of the program with files dealing with policies, program statements, and annual reports. There are also some files outlining the guidelines of tutors and assistants. The collection also contains issues of The Beacon, the AARC’s publication.

The collection contains many different types of brochures for a number of different types of students from general undergraduates, transfer student, international students, and opportunities for high school students.
Affirmative Action, Office of
The majority of this collection is made up of Affirmative Action Plan manuals and reports on the implementation of the plans.

The collection holds materials that deal with the different concentrations and clubs that are part of the department.
Alfred S. Shivers Manuscript of Maxwell Anderson
This collection consists of the original typed manuscript, with corrections and notations, and the galleys, for Shivers' book, 'The Life of Maxwell Anderson', published by Stein and Day in 1983.
Alfred S. Shivers Research Collection on Jessamyn West
Correspondence, notes, and clippings pertaining to the life and works of Jessamyn West: poet, novelist and short story writer. Copies of many of her works are included. Materials collected by Dr. Shivers, SFASU English Professor, in preparation for writing his critical biography, Jessamyn West (1972).
Alpha Chi Honor Society
There are six series in this collection: Administrative, Correspondence, Conferences and Meetings, Finances, Publications, and Membership and Recruitment. Materials in these series are in chronoogical order.

The bulk of this collection is made up of university audit reports that were done by a state auditor. There are also a few manuals and cash journals.
C. K. Chamberlain Collection
This collection has correspondence, newspaper articles, programs, and newsletters, as well as historical manuscripts and book reviews submitted to East Texas Historical Journal editor Dr. Chamberlain.
Calvin W. Hines Collection
Calvin W. Hines was a professor of history at Stephen F. Austin State University. Mr. Hines did research on Elihu B. Washburn and the Franco-Prussian War. He has donated his research so that others who may be doing research on the subject would have one place to look through many documents. Most of the documents in the collection are photocopies.
